The team is focused on quality and service and ensuring that each of its customers has a renewed ability to enjoy their outdoor leisure environment with Gold Coast Kwila furniture. Ongoing training is also very important to the company as is the provision of a supportive, adaptive, challenging and stimulating business environment to ensure the company maintains its high quality team.

The company is led by Irwin Stewart and Lee-Anne Klaus – both of whom are very experienced in their respective areas of business growth, management and control.

 

Irwin Stewart
Managing Director

Irwin is a professional business leader and manager who has built up a credible and highly experienced background in business growth, leadership and development over the last 25 years. Throughout Irwin’s business career he has been privileged to exercise leadership at various levels in many large and medium sized companies. Those leadership roles have given him the privilege to work with many multi-skilled teams across a broad range of business functions. CEO, General Management and senior management experience gained across a broad range of business sectors and industry groups has allowed Irwin to develop very strong commercial acumen and all-round leadership, strategy and execution skills. He has a track record of producing top and bottom line results for a diverse range of company’s with extensive experience in manufacturing, marketing and sales environments.

He has a passionate love of the outdoors, of family and the good memories that come from creating a balance in family life through fun times and healthy leisure activities and his overriding drive for Gold Coast Kwila is to see their products enhance the enjoyment of family and good friends through comfortable, durable and well priced outdoor leisure products.

 

Lee-Anne Klaus
Director

Lee-Anne is a very experienced sales and customer relationship manager with a diverse background in company management roles and senior sales roles. Lee-Anne is a very experienced and consummate sales professional who has a constant focus on making sure the company provides the very best in customer service, customer support and on-time deliverables. Lee-Anne is responsible for making sure the Gold Coast Kwila experience is one of the very best that can be created for our customers and she has direct responsibility for all sales and customer support team members in the company. Lee-Anne is also responsible for the administration and management of our customer loyalty program.

Lee-Anne is very personable, friendly, customer-centric and totally focused on making sure new opportunities for improving our customers leisure time is maximised and expanded through the provision of the very best products and services that the company can provide, all this at a price that our customers can afford and with service that they will long remember as the very best they have ever received.

 

Libby Shirvington
Sales and Administration Manager

Libby is a very focused manager with a high regard for people and customers in particular. She is a very experienced customer services, sales and administration manager who has spent many years in various sales and general admin roles as well as considerable time in other commercial activities such as purchasing and procurement for some very large companies.

Her primary role in GC Kwila is to ensure that the showroom and the team in the showroom operate to a very high standard of efficiency and effectiveness both in terms of sales support, product support and knowledge, organisation of product deliveries and maintenance of the showroom to a high standard. Libby also oversees many of the daily administration tasks and functions of the company.

Libby has been with GC Kwila since 2001 and in that time has built up a considerable understanding of the product, the manufacturing processes and the needs of our customers. Her excellent customer service skills have played a big part in the reputation for excellence and service that GC Kwila has in the market place.

 

Sean McCartney
Production Manager

Sean has been with GCK for many years and during that time has proven to be a highly skillful and resourcefull production manager. Sean’s primary role is the oversight of the entire production process and the day-to-day supervision of the factory team. He is responsible for ensuring that our entire range is produced in the most effective and efficient manner, in a timely manner and to the highest possible standard . He has oversight of all production plant and equipment, raw material needs and the flow of raw materials through the factory and production process.

Sean is a very skilled factory manager with many years experience in production in the furniture and related industries sector. Sean has a very good reputation in the industry both for being able to oversee the production of high quality products but also for being able to produce those products on time. He has a very hands-on approach to factory and production supervision and also retains an active role in the production process by producing some of the more ‘high end’ product lines.

Sean’s ‘hands on’ approach and his skill with a wide range of production plant and equipment and his ability to get the most out of other team members is a valuable attribute for GCK.
